Summer Activities Update 7.6.20: In accordance with new guidelines from the state of Kansas and KSHSAA, effective immediately, any inside activities in which social distancing cannot be attained, (i.e. scrimmaging, weight lifting, etc.) will require student athletes to wear a mask. Emporia State University’s athletic department is also following these guidelines. Outside activities will continue to follow our summer activities guidelines and practice safe social distancing procedures.  The district highly recommends that students provide their own mask due to safety precautions.  Students should also not share masks or wear a used mask. In addition, athletes need to provide their own water bottles. Students should not share water bottles. We encourage student athletes to stay hydrated before, during and after each workout. USD 252 will be looking for more guidance in the days and weeks to come from the state and local level in our continuing effort to protect our student athletes and staff during summer activities.  see pic
