Today, the 4th/5th grade students got to spend time touring the Topeka Capitol Building and got to finish the day going bowling. What a fun day to end the year!
Ms. Truluck's kindergarten class gave their letters presentation today! They performed a letters song, a couple sight words songs, and were interviewed about their assigned letters. Great job young Jaguars!

Yesterday, Tabitha stopped by Neosho Rapids to present the NED Show to our K-5th Grade Students. NED stands for: Never Give Up, Encourage Others, Do Your Best! Ask your kids about the show yesterday and what they learned!
This morning, Neosho Rapids celebrated our upcoming Master's Graduates! Ms. Taylor Korte: Master in Curriculum and Instruction, Mrs. Chelsea Dandrea: Masters in Music Curriculum and Instruction, Mrs. Crystal Speer: Masters in Special Education, and Mrs. Alice Preeo Masters in Educational Administration. Congratulations Graduates!
Our 5th Grade students got to enjoy their "Day at the K" yesterday. Students were able to learn about robotics and science before watching the Royals at Kauffman Stadium!
Please welcome Ms. Tyler Behrens to the Jaguar Family! Ms. Behrens will be teaching 4th and 5th grade Math and Science next year at Neosho Rapids Elementary!

Ms. Truluck and our Kindergarten class traveled to ESU today and 627 Event Space. Our Kindergarten students met up with Kinder kids from Chase County who have they have been pen pals with all year!
Because Junior High Track has been moved to Friday, Neosho Rapids Elementary Field Day has been changed.
Our K-5 students will still have afternoon Field Day at Neosho Rapids on Friday, May 3rd. Parents are still invited for lunch, if they have signed up AND paid for their meal in the office. Lunch will be 11:20-12:20, with field day from 12:30 to 2:30. Parents are still welcome to check students out of school at this time, with Kayla in the office.
We are moving the Track and Field events to Tuesday afternoon, starting at 12:45 in Hartford at the track/football field.
Neosho Rapids teachers and students enjoyed a day out at the petting zoo at Emporia Fairgrounds and then had a picnic lunch!

Mrs. Westhoff makes learning hands on and fun every single day. She does an excellent job getting her students ready for kindergarten. Characteristics that describe her are kind, caring, insanely patient, passionate, helpful and hardworking.
Mrs. Lee works hard to help students in every grade level. She is a team player by covering classes and positions when needed. Characteristics that describe her are knowledgeable, hard working, helpful, and funny.
