Keila Sherman from the John Redmond WRAPS (Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy) brought the Earth Balloon presentation to Hartford 6th graders today. They learned about the need for water and soil conservation efforts, as well as a geography review! Students were able to go inside the balloon to explore even more geography! Thank you to Mrs. Garriott and Keila for this opportunity!

📢 Friendly Reminder, Jaguar Families!
As the temperatures drop, please make sure students come dressed for outdoor recess; coats, hats, gloves, long pants. Our elementary teachers take kids outside whenever possible unless precipitation or extreme cold keeps us in.

Recess is a big deal and it helps kids get the wiggles, willies, and all the things out of their system so they can focus learning.

Thanks for helping keep our Jaguars warm, happy, and ready to learn!

🔹 No parking or drop-off on the south side or west side of the Hartford school until August 25
🔹 Buses will pick up & drop off on the east (back) side of the building
🔹 Please plan ahead, as the south street is closed and not available for drop-offs or turnarounds

With the promotion ceremony starting at 6:00 PM and concluding before 6:45 PM, I am planning to have 8th Grade Promotion this evening unless the forecast drastically changes or more severe weather comes unexpectedly. I will continue to keep an eye on the forecast, because this is Kansas and we all know the weather can change dramatically minute-to-minute. If we were to cancel this evening, the Promotion Date would be moved to Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20th at 6:00 PM. If you have questions, please let us know.
