Our teaching staff and administrators PK-12 attended industry tours in the Emporia area today. Our purpose was to have a direct connection with what expectations and preparations our students need to be successful in the local job markets. Thank you to the following industry for welcoming and sharing information with our teaching staff. Tyson, Hostess Brands, Coffelt Signs, Sauder Custom Fabrication, Flint Hills Tech College, Dynamic Discs, and the Trolley House, we appreciate your time with classroom teachers!

Community Members, Student, Parents & Staff - you are amazing. KASB reported the participation levels are the BEST they've seen. A total of 295 Superintendent Characteristics Surveys were completed and 108 Individuals participated in the Superintendent Focus Groups. Be proud of yourselves for making the schools and kids in your communities a priority.

Dr. Britton Hart, KASB Rep, will be conducting Characteristic Focus Group Sessions with community, students, and teachers. The purpose of the sessions is to obtain input for the school board regarding the characteristics that others recommend for the new superintendent.
