Show Your Best Sportsmanship at State Basketball!
As we prepare to support our team at the state basketball tournament, we want to emphasize the importance of good sportsmanship—not only for our players and coaches but for our cheerleaders, student section, and fans as well. Our school has the opportunity to earn a KSHSAA Sportsmanship Award, and we need everyone to demonstrate positive behavior that represents our school with pride and integrity.
The judges will be evaluating cheerleaders, the student section, players, coaches, and fans based on several key areas, including:
🏀 Respectful Behavior: Encouraging our team while showing respect to opponents and officials.
📣 Positive Cheering: Organized, enthusiastic, and appropriate chants—no negative or derogatory cheers.
🤝 Sportsmanship by Players & Coaches: Competing with integrity, supporting teammates, and respecting the game.
🙌 Fan Conduct: Cheering in a positive and energetic manner without unsportsmanlike behavior.
We encourage everyone to be loud, be proud, and show the best of Olpe Schools! Let’s set an example for what great sportsmanship looks like.
Let’s represent Olpe with class and pride—both on and off the court!
Go Eagles!!
