USD 252 is working with the Lyon County Sheriff department regarding call in threats across Kansas today. The Lyon County Sheriff is in contact with KBI.
We are not aware of an immediate danger within our buildings. Lyon County Sheriff is increasing presence at our school campuses, while working with KBI.

Our teaching staff and administrators PK-12 attended industry tours in the Emporia area today. Our purpose was to have a direct connection with what expectations and preparations our students need to be successful in the local job markets. Thank you to the following industry for welcoming and sharing information with our teaching staff. Tyson, Hostess Brands, Coffelt Signs, Sauder Custom Fabrication, Flint Hills Tech College, Dynamic Discs, and the Trolley House, we appreciate your time with classroom teachers!
Special Board of Education Meeting Agenda - February 21, 2023
Southern Lyon County Schools will be on a two hour delay due to inclement weather. Busses will run two hours later than normal. Daycare drop off will begin at 9:15am. Doors for K-12 will open at 9:30am with school starting at 10:00am.
