USD 252 Honor Flight Spaghetti Lunch
The Olpe High School Key Club will be helping the Kiwanis Club of Emporia with their 72nd Annual Pancake Feed on Saturday, July 18th from 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Lyon County Fairgrounds. This event was changed to a drive thru format due to COVID. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the OHS Key Club. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event or contact Mrs. McGuire at mmcguire@usd252.org to purchase before the event.
Summer Activities Update 7.6.20:
In accordance with new guidelines from the state of Kansas and KSHSAA, effective immediately, any inside activities in which social distancing cannot be attained, (i.e. scrimmaging, weight lifting, etc.) will require student athletes to wear a mask.
Emporia State University’s athletic department is also following these guidelines. Outside activities will continue to follow our summer activities guidelines and practice safe social distancing procedures.
The district highly recommends that students provide their own mask due to safety precautions. Students should also not share masks or wear a used mask. In addition, athletes need to provide their own water bottles. Students should not share water bottles. We encourage student athletes to stay hydrated before, during and after each workout.
USD 252 will be looking for more guidance in the days and weeks to come from the state and local level in our continuing effort to protect our student athletes and staff during summer activities.

We will NOT have daily meal service the week of June 29 - July 3 to give our kitchen staff a well deserved break. You will be able to pick up all the meals for the week of June 29 - July 3 on Friday, June 26 during regularly scheduled meal service. We will resume regular meal service on July 6. The produce truck was late leaving today, so if you're stopping by to get some produce it will be ready at Olpe around 3PM and ready at Hartford at around 3:30PM.

USD 252 Graduation Ceremonies 2020
Lyon County Health Officials approved outdoor graduation ceremony plans for June 20 to honor our graduating Seniors at Hartford and Olpe High Schools.
Senior Sponsors, teachers, staff, and administrators are finalizing plans for an outside ceremony to honor our graduates. To support student/spectator safety, social distancing guidelines will be followed and only parents of graduates will be allowed in the ceremony areas. Building Principals will unfold additional details and expectations approved by Lyon County Health Officials as they are finalized. Ceremonies will include a few traditional presentations and conclude within 30 minutes to allow for the safety of our students, parents, staff, and families.
Olpe High School and Hartford High School are moving forward with June 20 commencement ceremonies. Parents/Guardians can finalize plans and send announcements. Thank you for everyone’s patience and understanding over the past month. USD 252 appreciates and thanks Lyon County Health Officials during this pandemic. Thank You!
