As we end our  JH football and JH volleyball seasons this week (VB yesterday and Football on Thursday), I just wanted to take a few moments to reflect on our seasons. I could not be prouder of the coaches and the students that stuck through the grind, day in and day out, practicing their craft and trying to get better, even as the losses started to pile up. I know that all of you were hoping for a better record, but from what I saw throughout the season, we won almost every week. I saw sustained improvement week in and week out. I saw players leaning on one another for support. I saw players leave their teams only to have the remainder of the players dig deeper. I saw perseverance through adversity and I saw smiles on players faces as they accomplished things that wouldn't have been possible just two months earlier. I saw individuals become one and coaches lead with instruction and motivation and grit.

Basketball season starts soon and the lessons learned during the first quarter of our year will make each of you stronger. Keep your heads up, all of you. I am as proud to be your principal as you are to be a Jaguar. Go Jags! #wearehartford
