Olpe Schools

During the month of October, senior students in Mrs. Livers’ class wrote essays for the Voice of Democracy contest hosted by the VFW Posts of Emporia. This year’s essay theme was “What are the Greatest Attributes of our Democracy?”. Senior Achilles G, chose to write about if our Veterans are appreciated enough. Through this heart-felt essay, Achilles was awarded first place in the area and received a check for $50.00. Achilles’ essay will now go on to the state level, where it will be judged for nationals.
