Olpe Elementary School is located in Olpe, Kansas. Our school is part of the Southern Lyon County School District, USD 252. We have approximately 140 students and are proud to offer our students one-on-one attention that will help them grow and reach their full potential.

 

Our school continues its long tradition of high ratings, receiving the "Building Standard of Excellence" in both reading and math again this year. Olpe Elementary is a past winner of the presitigious Governor's Achievement Award, honoring the top-performing schools in the state of Kansas.

Technolgy Rich Classroom (TRC) Grant

We've got exciting news! Olpe Elementary has been approved for a Technology Rich Classroom (TRC) grant for the next two years.

The Technology Rich Classrooms grant emphasizes the integration of technology into the daily instructional practices in the classroom. The total amount of this grant, which will fund the creation of four Technology Rich Classrooms (5th and 6th grade at each elementary school), is $125,000 and requires a $50,000 local match.

Changes For Our District The school board is dealing with changes to our district that are necessary because of the state's budget deficit. Currently, they are moving forward with Option 2, which keeps all schools open, but will involve staffing cuts. If you wish to voice your opinion, you may send an open letter to be shared with school board members to Superintendent Argabright at margabright@usd252.org.
